Race Car Birthday Card For Kids

Today kicks off the "For The Boys" Challenge over at my sponsored challenge blog Creative Cutting Challenge.  For my submission, I created this cute little birthday card for my youngest nephew's sixth birthday.  I used one of my newest files, Race Car with Numbers, to create the card.

This is a perfect file for boys of any age, but especially for the younger set as you can use their age as the car's number.  A versatile set, you can use the included numbers for any project!

To make the birthday card, I used orange cardstock, a scrap of colorful striped paper, white cardstock which I embossed, a zig zag border and a rub on sticker.  The car was cut from scraps that coordinated with the striped paper.  The sentiment is from Crafty Secrets "Car Classics".  I stamped it with Archival Jet Black and then when dry, added the white to the checks with a Picket Fence Distress Marker.

Don't forget to check out all the great Design Team "For The Boys" inspiration over at CREATIVE CUTTING CHALLENGE.  If you are an electronic cutter who uses SVG or similar files, I hope you'll join in the challenge....we want to see your creations and you just might become a winner!

  5. You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and extremely broad for me. I’m looking forward to your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
