Here is my DT submission for the latest Creative Cutting Challenge--"Valentine's Day". I hope that if you also use an electronic cutting machine and software to create with that you'll join us. (And if you grabbed the "Fourth Friday Freebie" a few days ago, you have three SVG files you can work with!) Even if you don't, you really need to click over and see all the awesome DT projects. Lots of great crafty inspiration there!
Now for the details on my "untraditional" colors Valentine's Day card. I used this cute new file

I used all decorative papers (except for the brown and black) to give the card interest. I used a burlap texture stamp and Vintage Photo Distress ink to add shadows and dimension to the hive. I also used Distress Markers to lightly shadow the bee and his wings.
For the highlights on the lettering, I used a gold marker.
To make the card fun, I used a wobble under the bee
I think the colors and look of this card would be perfect for a guy...
luckily I know one who qualifies as "My Honey"!
