While perusing Pinterest I found a cute idea for painting books (sorry, I'm unable to give credit as the link was broken) into Halloween decorations. So I created my own versions: The Witch's Kitchen and two varieties of spell books: Old Salem University and The Modern Witch's.
On my first piece, I forgot to leave room for the twine. So I added black ribbon ties to hold the book together. These were so much fun that I'm going to work on a Christmas version too!
I'll be taking these books (and lots more) to The Vintage Market in southern Michigan.
