Sharing: A Very Textured Pumpkin Card

I received my brand new packet of Tim Holtz glassine paper a few days ago and immediately wanted to play with it.  It is a great medium for texturing and today I'll show you one way to use the paper.

First I cut the pumpkin using a SVG file from my new collection.

I cut the shadow/base layer in brown and the pieces in orange.  I then took the orange pieces, laid them on my craft mat and stamped on a large damask flourish stamp using Cocoa Archival Ink.  Then with Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks, I shaded the pieces with a water pen.

For the pumpkin leaf, I used a left over piece of the leaves and acorn border (from the same SVG set) that I used on the fall tag I made (shown in post below).  I stamped the wording on a piece of ligher orange cardstock and hand cut out a little tag.  Distressed it with the same DI as on the pumpkin.  Then using copper wire, made little vines and attached it to the pumpkin.

The glassine paper was run through the Texture Boutique using an embossing folder.  I rubbed on a little bit of Vintage Photo DI around the edges and then tore each side.  Love the look of the glassine paper...to me it looks like fabric.  I mounted the pumpkin and the leaf to the glassine using

Glossy Accents as a glue stick didn't seem to hold well. 

Then it was backed with brown cardstock and put on an orange card.

So many ways to use the glassine paper!  I'll have another fall card to share tomorrow.
