Painted Roses on a Bucket

The last bridal shower prize currently finished is this bucket.   This is the little pail that you can get in any hardware store's paint department.  I turned it into a shabby chic container using a pattern I adapted from  Patricia Rawlinson (Quick & Easy Painting June 2010).  As with any metal item I paint,  I apply JoSonja's All Purpose Sealer on the outer surface of the bucket before painting.  I used Glossy Accents to attach the wooden ball knob feet.
I didn't think the shiny inside matched my "shabby chic" theme so I used torn book pages and Mod Podge to line the bucket.  I wrapped the handle with white seam binding dyed with Distress Stain.
Here's a close up of the roses that go all around the bucket.  If you'd like to see more of Patricia Rawlinson's designs, you can check out her website HERE.
