I've loved this rooster design by Andy Jones for many years and finally got around to painting him on not one, not two, but three different surfaces. Here's the first one, done on a wooden tray.
I kept the design at full size and centered it in the middle of the tray.
Then I painted the remaining sides black and stenciled on the chicken wire design using the same background color.
I finished painting the rest of the tray with the same red as on the rooster's comb.
Three coats of poly acrylic and he's ready to be sold at this weekend's antique/vintage Davisburg Antique and Vintage Show. You'll find me in The Poultry House (How appropriate!), space 19. Hope to see you there!
