A Jolly Holly Christmas Dish

I'm always collecting plain vintage metal trays, platters and dishes to transform with paint into something new and beautiful.  This little candy dish started out "plain jane" gray.  But with the addition of some red chalk paint, a wreath of holly and poinsettias and gold accents, it's now turned into a stunning centerpiece for a Christmas table!
The gold rim on the bottom edge makes the whole piece glow.
I filled the dish with pine cones but wrapped candy, soaps or even a floral arrangement would be equally attractive.
I hand painted the edge using gold paint to outline the poinsettias and for the holly berries.  Christmas red and gold are always in style!
