Dedication Card

Here is my DT submission for the latest Creative Cutting Challenge--"Anything Goes".  I hope that if you also use an electronic cutting machine and software to create with that you'll join us.  Even if you don't, you really need to click over and see all the awesome DT projects.  Lots of great crafty inspiration there!

This card was created for a baby dedication but the design would work for a first communion, confirmation, baptism, Easter or an expression of sympathy.  I used two different designer paper scraps (crosses and stripes), added a strip of brown organza ribbon and attached it all to a kraft paper card base.
The cross was cut from cream and kraft cardstock using the Cross Set SVG and my electronic cutter.
I distressed the top layer with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I added a swipe of Vintage Photo Distress Stickles for shine and drops for rivets.  I took another piece of ribbon, made a bow and attached it to the cross with a glue dot.  Inside was my special message to the baby.

A very nice card. Many uses. I like how the ribbon follows thru as a bow on the cross.

Really elegant and I love the way your ribbon overlaps the cross.
