Jingle Pillow Pottery Barn Hack

A few years ago, my BFF tore out a picture of a pillow she loved from a Pottery Barn catalog and told me that she wanted me to make one like it for her for Christmas.  I put it in my "Ideas" folder and started looking for a suitable pillow case.  It wasn't until I took a rare trip to Ikea that I found exactly what I was looking for!  The jute case has a back zipper and is washable...Yee ha!  The inside down pillow, also from Ikea, is very nice too.
For the PB look I sat down and created a similar typography design in my electronic cutting software (SCAL) and cut the stencil from freezer paper and painted it, using the technique I've shown before. (See it HERE)
Finally, I sewed on a few red jingle bells and it was done!
I gave it to her this past Christmas and she loved it.
Here's a peek at the PB original...
$40 from Pottery Barn
vs.
$17 handmade with love!
