Steampunk Guys Birthday Card

Happy 78th Birthday to my Dad!
This is the card I created for him using the three gentlemen stamp from Tim Holtz
and my new GEAR FRAME SVG file
Used lots of other Tim/Ranger products too:  dimension added to the "78" with Glossy Accents,  gears shaded with Black Soot Distress Ink, gears attached with GA and a strip of tissue tape added along the bottom.  Hope he likes it!

Mother's Day Card: Better Late Than Never!

As I was cleaning up my desk top I came across a few things I've forgotten to share.  Besides the cards from Janis you saw yesterday, I realized I never posted the card I made for my Mom for Mother's Day.  I had a lot of fun creating this for her as she is an avid quilter/sewer.  I used stamps from Stamper's Anonymous (Haberdashery) as the main focus and accented with a flourish stamp in the upper right corner and a "Mother" ribbon at the bottom.  I broke out some vintage lace and attached it with that do-it-all, Glossy Accents.  I also used a good coat of GA on top of the ribbon stamping to give it dimension.
I added a little bit of Stickles to the top of the flowers to give them some shine.  Stickles were also used to border the center image.  Even though it's a "Mother's Day" card, the design could be used for any occasion.

Summertime Cards & Sand Castle SVG Freebie

These cards were done last year by JANIS LEWIS who used my SVG files to create them.
The cards above and below both feature the BEACH SET

The frog on the card above was made using the GARDEN FRIENDS--SET ONE
The snail on this card came from GARDEN FRIENDS--SET TWO.
Hope you enjoy the inspiration from Janis.  And if you haven't already, be sure to head over and grab this SVG freebie--SAND CASTLE--which is available again throughout the summer:

Computer Graduation Cards & SVG Freebie

One of my nephews is graduating this year and going on to study computer programming.  I thought a computer shaped card would be just the ticket to celebrate this special event (and to tuck a check into).  So I created this SVG file:
For the two cards I made, I stamped the sentiments on the "screen" in white ink.  On the "keyboard" I stamped and then tried to make it look authentic.  On the smaller card, I used a screen background stamp.  I embossed the larger card's keyboard with an embossing folder to make it look like there were "keys" on it.  Also on the larger card I used Pumice Stone Distress Ink and a water pen to add shading.
I'm offering the Computer Card SVG free for ONE WEEK ONLY.

Lady Liberty Card

This card is my Design Team submission as today's featured designer over at CARD A DAY BLOG.  It features the die cut lady liberty from my SVG set which is available HERE.
Here are the card details:
1.  Plain blue cardstock was stamped ("Canvas Stripes" from Hero Arts) with Barn Door Distress Ink.
2.  The top of the card is a scrap of starred designer paper.  A red ribbon, darkened with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink was placed along the edge.  I also distressed the edges of the card with the same ink.
3.  Using the same blue cardstock as the base, I stamped the bunting ("Rosy Everything" from MME) using Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink and then fussy cut and attached.  A pearl was added to the center.
4.  I used scrap cardstock to cut the lady.
5.  Finally I attached everything to a white cardstock card base.

Bride 2B SVG Freebie

As I've been mentioning, I've been busy, busy busy hosting wedding related events.  This past weekend was the "Bachelorette Party" and once again, I was in the studio making things....a card, t-shirts for all the girls and the drink cups shown here.  (for the Bride to Be, Maid of Honor, Bridesmaids and best friend)
I created and cut the designs out of vinyl using SCAL and my electronic cutter.
I applied the vinyl to dollar store cups.  (Since I used outdoor vinyl these cups can be used and washed endlessly).  I'm offering the Bride 2B file as a freebie.

Anniversary Card

Last month my parents celebrated their anniversary and this is the card I made for them.  I have this old picture of them from their dating days so I made a copy and built the card around it.  First off was this cool red, white and black designer paper (Sandylion's Red Licorice).  I used Spellbinder dies to cut and emboss the black frame around the photo.  A strip of black glitter tape and an acrylic sentiment finished it off.  Then I attached everything to a black cardstock base.  Because we're always teasing each other, I added this sentiment inside the card using PhotoShop:
