Remember the stencils I created from my shell SVG file? Previously I used them with ink to create a vintage style card. This time around I used texture paste to create a dimensional focal point for this nautical card.
I cut a small square of shimmery scrap cardstock and placed the stencil on top of it. I use stencil adhesive on the back for a good seal. Then, I took a palette knife and spread a medium coat of paste over the stencil. I carefully lifted the stencil away and immediately washed it off. I set the textured paper aside overnight to dry.
After the paste was dry, I lightly went over the design with Distress Ink to tone down the white color of the paste. This stenciled shell was a perfect compliment to using up more of the nautical paper and embellishments in my stash (K & Company Tim Coffey "Travel Voyage")
