If you want to create a card to impress but also one that's not complicated, this easel card is just the ticket!
You'll need two pieces of card stock for this card. For the card base you'll need a 4.25" x 8.5" (scored length wise at 4 1/4" with a mountain fold and at 6 3/8" with a valley fold). Lay the 4.25" side down and on the flap facing up, attach the second piece of card stock that you've cut as 4.25" square. You now have your card ready to decorate.
I added decorative cross paper to the left side of the card front. On the right side I added coordinating paper that I stamped and distressed. I added a sheer brown ribbon where the two papers met. I cut the cross (from my SVG set available HERE) and also distressed that. I cut and stamped the sentiment banner. To hold the easel card open, I used a border punch and brown card stock. This gives just enough of a "lip" to hold the card open
