I've been upcycling lots of items in preparation for a "salvage" show. This is where artists/makers sell repurposed items as well as antiques. Here are two of my lastest re-dos!
I loved this ornate frame so repainted it in teal chalk paint and distressed it with black. I added the wire mesh to the back with a staple gun and used a black satin ribbon for hanging. Little clothespins make it either a place to display your pictures or a place to keep your earrings tidy!
I got this clock (originally all black) at a garage sale and turned it shabby chic with chalk paint.
