Vintage items are so "in" lately. Which means that authentic pieces command a hefty price. Because of this, I decided to turn some old metal trays into vintage replicas. I think that they look as great as the real deal and they were fun to paint.
On the tray above I repainted the entire tray. On the tray below, I just "hit and missed" the red chalk paint over the original green paint. The "Merry Christmas" design came from The Graphics Fairy.
On the tray below, I covered the entire tray with chalk paint but antiqued it with black paint.
I'll be taking these trays (and lots more) to The Vintage Market in southern Michigan.
