One More Easel Card

I made this wedding card using the same easel card base as mentioned in Tuesday's post.
(Details Here)
To decorate the card, I first attached a portion of a paper doily.  Over that I layered more card stock (same as the base) and a scrap piece of wedding decorative paper.  I added the ribbon before gluing that down to hide the ends.  Over the top I added the little metal "together" plate.
To hold the card open, I first added a bit more of the doily (looks like it continues down, doesn't it!) and then another scrap piece of the base card stock which I punched into a banner (use your square punch on an angle) and stamped with the sentiment.  This banner forms the "lip" to keep the card open.
Here's how the card looks closed:
Simple, but elegant, don't you think?

A nice card. Liked it a lot and would love to make a similar one for my mom on her 50thbirthday. We are planning a family party at party venues in Orange County. Looking for decorations which she would like and admire.
